Life in the Valley (and where I live)

The first minute you step into The Valley you feel at home, well I guess I do anyways because I actually live here. I live in a town called Courtenay very close to another town called Comox. Courtenay is full of businesses and restaurants although we don’t have a huge mall like in other places, Courtenay is the place to be! In Courtenay like I said we have many restaurants like:White Spot, Boston Pizza, Monte Christos, and many more. There is much to do here and lots of stuff to see, Here is some of my favourite stuff to do in the valley: I love to go to the CRA (its kind of like an exercise center with fun stuff for kids, we also have our Aquatic Center (in other words our wave pool), and our skating rink, but if I went on with this list it would take forever because the valley is full of wonderful things!

Oh yes, Courtenay is also very educational and by that I mean we have lots of schools built here from elementary to high school. School in Courtenay and Comox is probably different from other schools around the world. At my school our subjects are: math, social studies, french, P.E, art, music, health and career education, science, language arts, and of course recess. But we only have one class for the whole year instead of having different classes for different subjects. My school sometimes has assemblies for special things, sometimes for performances other times for important things like ceremonies. Yes life at school can be pretty exciting here in the valley.

Another reason why I love living in the valley is because we have a lot of neat animals and sights to see! We have a great view of the glacier for one thing and for another we have Mount Washington Alpine Resort not to far from here about a forty five minute drive away from Courtenay!
